Summer Academic Experience Courses at St Andrews University

All summer courses at St Andrews are complemented by a vast array of extracurricular activities in the evenings and on weekends, including a talent show, quiz nights, movie nights, debate nights, a ceilidh (traditional Scottish dancing) and disco. Students will go on several cultural excursions to places of historic importance or scientific interest, including a full day trip to the city of Edinburgh. Other excursions may include various castle visits (Glamis, Stirling, Falkland), the Cupar Deer Centre, Edinburgh Dungeons, Dundee and the famous RRS Discovery, and Byre Theatre evenings.

Students live and study at St. Stephen’s House, a stunning, traditional Oxford College (and former monastery) that was founded in 1876. Located a 15-minute walk from Oxford’s exciting city centre and across the street from the University’s Athletics Centre, students will be fully immersed in the peaceful and studious atmosphere it provides. Most rooms are singles although some are twins, and most have shared bathrooms although some are have en-suites.
